Filippo Maria Merlino specialises in various areas of civil litigation and bankruptcy procedures governed by the Bankruptcy Law and the New Business Crisis Code, dealing in particular with assistance, advice and defence for both natural and legal persons in various types of insolvency proceedings before the Court, the Court of Appeal and the Court of Cassation.

He also provides professional services in the following areas:

• Advice, assistance and judicial defence in corporate matters concerning both ordinary activities(incorporation of companies, rental of company branches, examination and drafting of statutes and financial statements, conflicts between shareholders and between shareholders and company directors) and situations related to business crisis(bankruptcies, creditors and bankruptcy arrangements, attestation plans and debt restructuring agreements, over-indebtedness procedures);
• Assistance and judicial defence in civil litigation before the ordinary civil jurisdiction(the Court, the Court of Appeal and the Court of Cassation) as well as civil mediation organisations(ADR);
• Assistance and advice in the negotiation and drafting of typical and atypical contracts in real estate matters (sale and purchase of land and buildings, preliminary agreement, exercise and transfer of option rights, mediation, lease, loan, etc.), and also in movable matters such as financial leasing contracts, service contracts, supply, agency, sponsorship, etc.
